The Flower Shop Sisters #2

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not

Rate this book
Alternate cover edition of ASIN B07S8S2699

I’m a good girl—until I got drunk in Vegas and married a panties-flaming-hot Irishman.

Oops.

I’ve always lived my life by the rules. Unlike my two sisters, I’m the good one. The responsible one. Going outside my comfort zone is when I wear red lipstick before five PM.

That comfort zone of mine? It’s smashed to smithereens on a wild night in Las Vegas when I met—and married—Liam Gallagher.

After one shot of tequila, then two, then too many to count, a good girl’s rules tend to disappear. And so do her panties, and her bra, and various other articles of clothing when she’s with an Irishman who knows his way around a woman’s body.

Now my husband wants us to stay married. For six months. He says it’ll be worth my while. Considering our chemistry underneath the sheets, I can’t say that he’s wrong.

Liam isn’t safe, though. Liam definitely isn’t comfortable. He’s like the male equivalent of wearing red lipstick in the daytime all wrapped up in an irresistible, dangerous package.

Yet this stubborn Irishman isn’t about to let me go, drunken Princess Bride-themed Vegas wedding or no.

Now I have to decide if I’m brave enough to break the rules for love.

This is a funny book. I am kicking myself not picking up this book sooner. He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not has the right formula for rom com. Miss Morland done a good job brining the story alive.

There is that comedy between Mary and Liam, their sexual connection is hot. There is enough vulnerable moment between Sara and Liam. The length is also sufficient to enjoy the story.

What is missing is the romantic connection between Mary anf Liam. It seems to me Liam suddenly just fall in love with Mary for no reason.

Just meh...

It might be me and not the book but unfortunately I didn't like it. I couldn't get into the story and I didn't connect with the characters. It started off well, it was funny and I thought I would enjoy it but that didn't happen and I had to skim it after 65%. There's nothing particularly wrong with it I just didn't like it (probably because of my slump). The ending was cute but overall it was just meh...

I am absolutely in love with the Flowers Ship Sisters series!

When Petal Plucker ended I really couldn’t wait for Mari’s book. What we learn about her and the demise of her relationship with Daniel made me ache for her to experience a second chance, especially one that pointed to a better suited and one that could give her true happiness. Well, it is delivered in the glorious form a 6-and-a-half-foot Irish born god in Liam Gallagher. Their ooooopsie of a wedding was the best thing that could happen. Iris Morland delivers the liberation of Marigold Wright from a life of boredom to a life of delight, but it’s a process filled with confusion and ups and downs.

Liam inspires Mari to take chances and I loved seeing her character growth as she learns to trust her instincts and to follow her heart. Liam is a true force. I loved his self-assured ( cocky 😉) nature and the love he has for his sister. One thing I can’t not mention is how much I LOVED the Wright family dynamics. Mari’s dinner with her parents provides a wonderful comedic element and made me fall even more in love with Iris’ writing. I can’t stress enough how happy this book made me feel and I’m now really, really excited for Kate’s story!! 5 Stars and recommendation!

I didn't hate it as much as the first book but this one was DRAGGING in the middle. I needed more things to be happening aside from sexy times.

A fake marriage story that ends in love. Well-written with some fantastic secondary characters and interesting challenges. I enjoyed the book overall but was a little put off by the amount of coarse language. I received a free copy of this book but this is my honest review.

When an author can take a tired, overdone trope and not only make me forget about said trope but be so immersed in the story that I read it in one sitting, that shows true talent, and Morland has it in spades. Not only did the time fly by, but I was easily enamored by Mari and Liam and I hated for their story to end.

Holy hyacinth, Liam and Mari's chemistry is out of this world, and they’re hot enough to set off the smoke detector! And if Liam's caveman tactics might be a bit offputting to Mari, his sexy Irish accent gives him a “heck yeah!” pass. These two will have you laughing until you cry, to blushing and back again, as you follow them on their journey to forever.

Morland is a master of emotional manipulation and yours will be all over the place, from laughing hysterically at the impersonator priest officiating the spontaneous Vegas wedding and Mari's crazy family to the poignant lessons for both of these loveable characters that will squeeze your heart in the best of ways. You’ll fall for them without even realizing it, and Mari and Liam will stay in your heart long after the last page. Don’t miss their enchanting, heart-warming, phenomenal story!

*I reviewed an early copy of this book freely and voluntarily, having made no commitment to provide feedback and receiving no compensation of any kind from any source.

Most definitely not the book or series for me. If this is considered the "chick lit" genre, this book is warning me away from further exploration.

Really wish the author would have portrayed Mari as more resilient and less of a shrew. Not all "good-girls" have to be so uptight and judgmental of everyone around them. There were some great elements like the very descriptive tacky Vegas wedding shenanigans of the friends, the MCs The Princess Bride themed ceremony and Mari's clumsiness. Overall it felt like a good story concept that was poorly executed. Quite possibly a record breaking amount of butt plug references.

The Audible narration was a bit painful, which is sad because Shane East is usually pretty good at his craft. I had high hopes as his Irish accent is brilliant in the Audible version of In the Unlikely Event.

I finished this book not sure of my exact feeling about this book. I didn't dislike it, but there were times when I thought about skimming ahead or just stopping.

Mary and Liam get married while drunk in Vegas. Mary, who is the most responsible of her sisters, lets her hair down once and ends up married to a basic stranger.

They had chemistry and the sex scenes in this one were much hotter than in the last book.

That being said, their behavior toward one another got on my nerves at time. We get that you don't really know each other, but sometimes Mary acted like a brat and Liam was at times a douche.

That combo worked for them seeming as though they eventually fell in love with one another.

There were heavier elements in this one that wasn't in Dani's book also. I was glad to see that it wasn't swept under the rug, but I felt like the resolution to that was a miracle cure for Mary getting her head out of her ass. I wish it would have came about in a different way, and maybe it did and I missed it.

I liked this one just a little bit less than the first book. The overall story and the characters were great though! There was just something about the romance that was missing for me. This couple didn’t make me swoon as much as Dani and Jacob in book one. And there were some lines of dialogue that were literally the same from the last book. It made it feel like I was reading about the same couple all over again. The side characters really shined in this one however. Especially Mari and Liam’s younger sisters - Kate and Niamh! I’m excited that Kate’s book is next, shes such an entertaining character! Anyways besides the slight issues I had with this story, I would still recommend it. It was fun for what it was. You’re still gonna get the same humor and sexy times at the level of the first book. So give this one a shot!

This is my third book by this author and I was still surprised by how steamy it was. Liam wasn’t my favorite love interest, but the story was cute enough. 2.5 stars

Another good story !

If Dani's story made me laugh, this one is just as fun and likewise a riot. Love the Irish Gaelic words and phrases. Plus th accent, I can imagine hearing it and getting giddy and affected myself. Mari's personality matches with Liam. Even though Liam is more playful, it complimented Mari's uptight one. I truly enjoyed this. Thanks, excited to read Kate's story soon.

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not is the second book in The Flower Shop Sisters series by Iris Morland. It follows Marigold (aka Mari), the oldest sister and self-proclaimed good girl, who accidentally gets married in Vegas after a few too many tequila shots. This happens to be just six months after she broke off her engagement to another man when she found him cheating on her. Of course, Liam, the hot Irishman she married, can’t just get an annulment because *reasons*⁣

I read this one immediately after the first in the series and it’s not quite as funny or steamy as Petal Plucker, but still has all the feels. Seriously, Morland’s books and characters have truly captured my heart in a short amount of time.⁣

At 238 pages, it’s a quick read, but I found myself wishing it had been longer because I felt like there was so much more that Liam and Mari needed to say to each other.⁣

Thanks to Iris Morland for my copy in exchange for an honest review.

When a drunken night in Las Vegas leads to a spontaneous marriage. Mari and Liam come to a convenient arrangement that puts them under the same roof for six months. While battling through intense sexual tension, wayward emotions, and torrid family affairs, they're going to realize that perhaps living in the same flat together might not be the worst idea yet.

This book is the second installment of the flower shop sisters. It features Marigold, the older sibling of the heroine in the first book. If you haven't read the first one yet, I highly recommend it. Although it's not necessary because you can easily read this book before the previous one.

Mari and Liam met at the wedding of their mutual friends. After spending one too many drinks in a casino in Las Vegas. They make the rushed decision to get married. The morning after was spent regretting what happened the night before. Liam and Mari were as different as one can be. Where she is prim and proper, Liam is rough around the edges. Despite all that, they shared the same qualities.

I was not expecting this story to be as straightforward as it did. Liam may be a brute and have a dirty mouth, but he's also cautious and has a sort of caring nature toward the people he cares about. I certainly did not expect their relationship to blow up as quickly as it did. Usually, I would be extra cautious with stories with an instant relationship, but I quite like the pace this story has. The plot certainly played a strong part in it.

All in all, I love how this book played out. It is refreshing, funny, emotionally charged, and very entertaining to read.

‘He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not’ is the second book I’ve read by Iris Morland, and I received it in exchange for an honest review.

After reading ‘Petal Plucker’ the first book of the ‘The Flower Shop Sisters’ series, I couldn’t wait for Marigold’s story and it was better than I’d ever anticipated!

Marigold is always playing it safe, she is not a risk taker and is the eldest of the three Flower Shop sisters, and the one who usually has her life together. But when she wakes up in Vegas after a wild bachelorette party with a ring on her finger, she can’t help but freak out. What’s worse is her new ‘husband’ Liam is to die for, and infuriating in his own gorgeously handsome way.

Liam is a commitmentphobe, he gets bored of women after a few dates and doesn’t believe in the idea of love and marriage. But when he meets Marigold, something within him is drawn to her, and after rescuing her from a wild girls night, he gets carried away and drags Marigold down the aisle. Unbeknown to him that it will have a massive effect to him in the long run.

The book is about life lessons, about taking risks and being willing to take a chance on something that you want. I love Liam and Marigolds relationship! It’s hot, passionate but also has all the underlying intimacy and sweetness that you’d want from a book couple.

It was the perfect romance read and I am so excited to see where the rest of this series goes!

Ideal for all romance lovers, especially those who prefer the steamier reads.

Prim and proper meets Irish brogue and rugged charm.
Flirty, light, fun, and as steamy as a hot kettle.

If you want to have a good time and a smile on your face non-stop, this is the book to read.
Rom-Com with a quick pace, a couple that has efervescent chemistry, and a quirky plot that you root for no matter how ridiculous it should be in real life. Drunken marriage in Vegas? Sure, just the perfect prelude to everlasting love. Totally acceptable, and please give me more :-D

The banter betwen Mari and Liam is delicious. She might be a good girl, but she melts when she is confronted by Liam's tempting masculinity. In close quarters, this hard-in-all-the-right-places man is too hot to resist. From a drunken mistake, they end up keeping up the charade of this marriage for a reason that I found adorable and made me love Liam all the more. Mari is cute and is looking for a brigther future than her safe-at-all-costs mentality has led her to up until now. I think this couple is made for each other despite the odds. He is against marriage? No biggie, Mari will change his mind and his heart with all her red-haired cuteness ;-)

The cheeky dialogues combine with a woman's journey to free herself from emotional baggage that's hindering her happiness. I really liked that. And it surprised me how hot and posseessive Liam ends up being towards his unintended wife when at first he had reneged from it all. Wow, those sheets are set on fire!

The ending is so romantic, funny and naughty too, and it hints at promising things to come. I'm hooked! <3

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not is the second book in the Flower Shop Sisters series, and reads pretty well as a stand alone. Mari is the oldest of three sisters, known as the responsible one, and suddenly she has found herself drunkenly married while in Vegas! Neither Mari nor Liam particularly want to be married to one another, but in an attempt to save his sister’s inheritance, they need to show the world they’re happily married. But will their passion and connection allow them to walk away at the end of their agreement?

Oh my, this book was fabulous! It was the perfect combination between hilarious moments with more tender and heart pulling scenes, Mari and Liam stole my heart right from the very beginning and I absolutely loved their romance! Mari is such a good girl, but I loved watching Liam open her up to new experiences, loved watching her heart open to live life as it comes her way, and loved all the craziness that is her heart vs her head. Liam is a wandering soul, one with some of his own internal issues he needed to deal with, but his heart was solid gold when he followed it, especially in regards to his sister and with Mari. Their connection was passionate and real, they had difficulties and humor to get them through, and I loved all of the drama they encountered. This book is an amazing follow up to the first book in the series, both of which I completely love, and I am so excited to see what Kate’s story will bring!

Petal Plucker was one romance I really enjoyed earlier this year, it was laugh out loud funny with a quirky and delightful plot. What I didn’t know when I started it was the very last paragraph would leave me wanting to read the next book in the series IMMEDIATELY! I jumped at the chance to read He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not and it did not disappoint!!

I LOVE any plots that involve fake relationships/marriage of convenience/or “oops I woke up in Vegas married to this strange hottie” and this story has all of that. Mari (short for Marigold) is the older sister of Dani from Petal Plucker. She’s straight laced, always does the right thing, and leads a pretty normal life until she wakes up in Las Vegas married to a hot Irishman. One aspect of this story that I loved was that the early chapters actually go back and walk through how Mari and Liam end up married (even though they have little memory of it the next day). This story wasn’t as laugh out loud funny as Dani’s, but I absolutely adored it nonetheless.

The story quickly moves from accidentally married to having to stay married, and I was here for all of it! I really loved the chemistry of Mari and Liam together as they try to figure each other out and work to be a married couple. I normally don’t like male characters acting a bit possessive, but Liam has this habit of referring to Mari as “wife” and it fit his character perfectly. He’s a character that’s a little rough around the edges, while Mari is trying to learn to loosen up a bit. Their pairing is just SO good.

As you can see on the cover, Morland warns you it’s going to be steamy, and she isn’t playing around!! Here’s a direct quote from my notes as I was reading “wow, Liam’s got a dirty mouth on him” If you don’t like steam, this probably won’t be for you. But I loved it, I thought it had the perfect level of steam and matched their characters so well.

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not was a 4.5 star read for me! I recommend reading these in order to fully appreciate the characters!

This book is about a girl, who was on her friends wedding as a bridesmaid in Las Vegas and night before her friend wedding she got drunk and end up marrying the her friend groom's best friend and they had a night together, after returning back from the event to there Normal lifes, they were having good time until they met and things start changing as they won't to file a divorce, but boy was scared that that will make things public and his uncle will stop the to give inheritance to his sister and she can't be able to fulfill her dreams, so he planned and ask the girl to be with him until his sister get what she want, she like the plan and slowly they rule out thing of do and don't in that time, and they got along, few days after when they were getting intimate his sister came over and stayed with them but boy doesn't like and end up spatting her but our protagonist take situation in hand and make her understand what he is doing and without letting truth came out. she take him to meet her family, and later when boy is getting anxious that he will ruined things he asked her to leave and her sister came again and she come to know truth and how much her brother love that girl she said go get her and get them married. First off Audio was definitely the way to go with this one. I loved the Narrators!
With the way "Petal Plucker" ended I knew I needed to read this book. Even though I didn't think I would like Mari (and I didn't, at first, even in the 1st book), I couldn't stop listening to her and Liam's story.
Waking up married to a hot Irishman in Vegas after a drunken night? Not something Mari would ever do. A mistake of course, one that needs to be rectified ASAP. This is where I thawed to Mari because, even if it's for her own reasons, when Liam asks to keep their marriage up for the next 6 months for his sister's sake she does it and from there she slowly starts to take more chances and opens up more.
Liam has a sinfully dirty mouth and that Irish accent, how could Mari not fall for him? Of course their HEA doesn't come with out it's share of bumps and bruises but it gets there.
Book 2 in the Flower shop Sisters and I love the series even more I cannot wait for Kate's story!

It was okay, i wasn't in the mood for steamy read where i can't escape from dirty talk for almost every page, therefore the low rating. Story wise it was good and pretty solid, i see the similarities between this book and the first book, the main conflict and how the guy basically calling out their partner issue. Not exactly a spoiler, just my strong opinion about specific matter next: If you're looking for a steamy read with dirty talker in almost every pages, then this book maybe for you.

Y'all I was sooo excited to read this book Iris Morland does not disappoint.

Fun fact, I love a good woke up married in Vegas story. There's not enough of them. So when I see them I JUMP.

I loved the relationship between Mari and Liam. How easily they fit into each other's lives. Okay maybe it wasn't all easy. I can't imagine being so reckless and yet I totally can. The story was well paced, fun and light. EXACTLY what I've been needing in my life.

I'm crazy about this series and I think y'all would love it too.

If you loved Dani’s book, get ready to be OBSESSED with Mari’s! The cliffhanger regarding Mari that we got at the end of Dani’s book hooked me in, but Mari’s storyline itself kept me reading. I love that Iris was able to take a common storyline and really make it her own and add the quirk that is the Flower Shop sisters! In Vegas for a wedding and reeling from a broken engagement, Mari is surprised when she wakes up and finds out that she married the best man (who she doesn’t initially remember)! Liam is anti-commitment, forever focused on doing what’s best for his baby sister that he basically raised. When the financial well being of his sister is compromised, Liam and Mari decide to stay married for a period of time. While there was total insta-love between these two, as they continue to stay married and get to know each other further, the chemistry and feelings grow quickly and passionately. When hurtful things are said and done and Mari leaves, get ready to shake and throw your e-reader in frustration because they are meant to be together!! I can’t get enough of Iris and her books! Her style of writing is extremely enjoyable because it’s steamy yet romantic with an added twist of awkward and quirky, and it creates the best combination! After reading the first two books, I can’t wait to see what she has in store for the final sister Kate’s book, especially since she’s nothing like her sisters!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

⭐⭐⭐ 3.5 ⭐⭐⭐If you need something light and don't mind adult yet funny jokes, then this is the read for you.

There is nothing complicated in the book, just a couple who see each other in a wedding and well, lust at first sight and and all that.

I needed a lot of scenes about their time living together and that's the only thing that felt short to me, otherwise a good read!

Mari likes to play things safe. She's got a good job, she follows the rules, and is always in control of herself. Until one night, on a drunken whim, she marries a hot Irishman, Liam Gallagher, in Vegas. Whoops! Now he wants to stay married for 6 months. Liam's presence in her life has Mari questioning everything she thought she knew. Plus he's showing her how hot it can be to be out of control (especially in the bedroom).

This was the fun, escape of a book that I needed this past week. I read it in as few sittings as my life allows (with two kids at home interruptions are plentiful) and ate up Mari and Liam's relationship. I related with Mari as someone who likes to be ordered, scheduled, and safe and let me tell you how darn attractive Liam's sexy male alpha-ness was! He's not afraid to say what he thinks and this stud of a man is definitely not apologizing for who he is.

I absolutely adore Iris Morland's Flower Shop Sisters series and highly recommend either book (He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not or Petal Plucker) for an entertaining, steamy read.

This was a good read. Mari is at a friends wedding. She wakes up one morning and realizes she is married. She ended up marrying Liam who was also a part of the wedding party. Instead of getting divorced they stay together in order to help him help his sister. Of course by the end they are in love and happy for real.
