Gwen owns a Bed and Breakfast on Hazel Island. Her ex husband cheated on her and told her something was seriously wrong with her when it came to sex. Jack had a rough childhood because his mom was an addict. He left her and his little brother in Seattle and moved to Hazel Island. He learned the fishing trade, purchased a boat and started his own business. The storyline was well written and kept me turning the pages. I enjoyed the wonderful characters and thought they had amazing chemistry.

A small town romance with lots of angst. Jack is a very private person, he is troubled by his mother's addiction and scared of letting anyone close. Gwen is emotionally scarred by her ex husband. These two start as friends but they have a connection that builds into something much more. A great start to a series with lots of characters that I want to know more about.

Good story, though I feel like it is missing some depth, and sometimes it was a little inconsistent - , The past that Jack left behind "because he had to" his feelings and responses were so.....soft?.... I kept expecting more to develop from everyones past demons, but all in all it is a nice read.
